Understanding the goals and objectives of the Greater Reading Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program means understanding the overall value of literacy in today’s social order. Reading in a level that promotes good communication in our society is the number one goal of the Greater Reading Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy program.

Many children in our area are not fortunate enough to be able to afford or cannot easily obtain quality reading materials. That is why the Greater Reading Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program has been established. The goal of the program is simple; collect enough materials to provide a minimum of one book per child throughout the school districts located in the Greater Reading area and other organizations.
